Wesley M. Fujimoto, joined the firm as Counsel in July 2012. Prior to joining Ashford & Wriston, Mr. Fujimoto was a founding principal of another law firm in Honolulu.
Mr. Fujimoto specializes in labor and employment law. He represents local and mainland employers before courts and agencies, both federal and state, in the entire range of employment and labor law matters. These include employment discrimination and harassment, organizing and collective bargaining matters, workers' compensation, wrongful discharge and other state and federal court litigation, occupational safety and health, wage and hour and unemployment insurance.
Mr. Fujimoto's practice consists of both litigation defense and counseling and training. He has lectured and written extensively on current legal issues and prevention methods on topics ranging from employment discrimination, sexual harassment, unionization, workers' compensation and wrongful discharge
Professional Activities:
Mr. Fujimoto is a member of the Hawai`i State Bar Association.
Prior to entering private practice, he was an Attorney-Advisor with the U.S. Department of Labor, Office of Administrative Law Judges, in the Washington, D.C. and San Francisco offices.
